RE: How other forums see us.

I did join a new one a couple of months ago. under the tc section there are only two treads and that is what it has been since I joined. I'm good right here at RV.net. Great job by all mod's. Everyone should give them a great big pat on the back. :)

RE: Highway "Bucking" what helps it?

The long bed and crewcab contribute mightily to the porpoising on concrete. I've tried without the Lance struts. I have Rancho 9000's they help alot with sway. I use 19.5 "H" rated tires which are very solid. All in all we are very stable. Ford offered and we have a suspension upgrade which increased our payload by 1000 lbs. I'm unsure of what was added, T think it is some F450 components. We totaled out on a CAT scale at 13,400 lbs on route to Alaska several years ago. I think He'll be hard pressed with a lifted rig. I dont run them on my new tc truck and it has a lift and i do get the (bucking) on concrete road but had the on my old lifted truck and never had the problem

RE: Any body using Torklift Stable Load Pads ?

Anyone know why they don't make these for GMC? I have only seen one gmc/chevy in my life that has overload springs and the one I did see bought a set and made them work on his truck without to much problems. If you have overloads and want a set a would say buy the and install them like you would on any other truck

RE: East Coast boondocking?

Any favorite boondocking sites in eastern PA, NJ or MD? Or is this like asking a fly fisherman for his favorite streams? Its a whole lot more fun to find them on your own sorry I will say this much there are alot of maryland state parks on the ocean and it is much like boondocking (no hookups)

RE: Happi Jacks?? Tell me all about them, please

I went from atwoods hand cranks to happi jack electric. I changed the brackets (when you buy the jacks as a compleate set it comes with all the mounting hardware and brackets) This was the best move I have done to a T/C The H/J lift the camper alot higher then the other jacks do as well I like mine and would not trade them for nothing O and I have a 87 lance 980 as well

RE: Post your winter camping pics.

I hope these were posted correctly. Haven't done it in a long time... These are from our trip last year between Christmas and New Years. Yosemite Valley's at about 4000', the waterfall is Bridalveil Falls, and Indian Grinding Rock is at about 2500'. Yosemite was too icy and slippery for us, so we left after a day and a night. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j109/whitebeast/122707YosemiteCampsite-1.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j109/whitebeast/YosemiteAndGrindingRock007.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j109/whitebeast/122807IndianGrindingRock.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j109/whitebeast/122707YosemiteCampsite-1.jpg height=640 width=480 http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j109/whitebeast/YosemiteAndGrindingRock007.jpg height=640 width=480 http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j109/whitebeast/122807IndianGrindingRock.jpg height=500 width=480 Maybe this will work

RE: BigFoot looses prime on water pump

That clear tube is not for priming the pump, that is for winterrizing the camper. You put the clear tube in a bottle of pink stuff (rv safe antifreeze) and turn the pump on and pump your lines full of the (pink stuff)and you should have two bypass valves for the cold water heater. Your pump does not need priming well let me take that back I have never seen one that needs priming. Maybe your pump is going bad. I have ran my camper out af water alot of times and have never had to prime it. I think something else is going on there. My 2 cents, happy camping:B
